The best emulation available,thanks.
MUST HAVE !!
This recreation of a legend is so well done it is a must have if you love analog drum machines. Played along side of my real CR78 the software does such a great job of sounding just like its MASTER.

Does what it says on the tin!
Can't go wrong with this little library. Well sampled with a delightful interface. Easily the best CR-78 emulation on the market!
A brilliant emulation of a classic
This is an outstanding emulation of the Roland CompuRhythm CR-78. Easy to use, awesome sounding and brilliantly realised by a fantastic developer.

One of a (software) kind!
It seems amazing that only Forgotten Keys have done an extensive emulation of the CR-78, especially considering it's such an iconic drum machine (think Enola Gay & Fade to Grey and you get the idea).
In short, I feel like my search for the CR-78 sound and rhythms has come to an end, suh is the amazing job that Forgotten Keys have done on this, feature packed instrument.
I'm really looking forward to what else they come up with next

AWSOME!
AWSOME! Complicated like the real one but more programable.
Silly Grin
I used it on this track, makes me grin every time I hear the Compu 78 kick in, lol

Maybe the closest plug to real thing
Perfect. Had the original one and this plug is so close to perfect imperfection of the original one !
Nobody can tell if it's the real one or Compu 78

A great upgrade to Forgotten Keys FK6
I couldn't pass this up. The original Forgotten Keys version of the Roland CR-78 was good. This is better.
Forgotten Keys nailed it !!
This is a killer rendition of a great hardware machine. I have owned the hardware for years, and its right there.... even better, actually. Big kudos for the great product.
Love it
Another great classic library. Sent me back to the 80s and 90s!

Look no further
I have used a cr78 in the past and this is as good as it gets when it comes to recreating the original. So, so good.

Back to the 80's
Perfect for recreating so many early 80's songs from the likes of Ultravox, Visage and OMD.

AMAZING!!
I was blown away by the sound and sequence

great sounds, great looks, glaring functional omissions
I am a huge CR-78 fan, and I love the way the Compu 78 looks and sounds.
That out of the way, I find it very tedious to use. The only ways to make use of the presets seem to be to either "play it live" or "export MIDI files".
The most obvious way for me (only for me?) to use that thing would be to add MIDI key switches for start/stop and all the pattern selectors - that way one could just trigger the patterns with MIDI notes and save the hassle of dealing with the MIDI exports. Shame I don´t know how edit the Kontakt instrument myself.

Always the best
Forgotten Keys are one of my favourite developers from old drum machines, and as an owner of a real CR-78 I can say it's easier to use this and sounds like the real thing. I liked the old version so much I bought this updated version. The best CR-78 library out there.

dynamic retro sound
The attention to detail is evident when you listen. If you don't trust your ears you sample a bar of repetitive hits to any of the drum sounds and if you inspect the waveform you'll see the effect of the round-robin samples. Read the manual and you can learn how to export original rhythms from the machine (crtl-art + play button). Be sure to turn on the combine function so you can layer rhythms. Hint: be sure to set the temp to "host" by turning it all the way to the left.

Compu 78
A brilliant recreation of the old machine I grew up with when I was a kid. Realistic sounds. Version 2 a good improvement on V1
