Feel the ominous, building power of the Kaiju rising from the deep vibrato strings to the high piercing octaves. Kaiju Strings is a classic monster-movie experience comprised by four violin sections, two viola sections, 20 cellos, double bass, and amplified Rickenbacker in delayed tremolo and vibrato articulations. Following our design philosophy from Kaiju Horns 2, we have recorded 24 bit, 96 Khz samples, then processed them for live synthesis to give you control of attack, velocity, articulation, and tension using a single slider plus velocity-sensitivity for an expressive playing experience. The expression wheel now controls attack-curvature, vibrato, presence, and bow pressure while velocity controls attack, loudness and feedback. The attack harmonics are cycled via envelope crossfades and there is a fast portamento to emulate a legato feel. It's arranged across five octaves with various combinations inspired by monster films of the 1950s. Our goal is to deliver the promethean fire of the kaiju into the hands of the musician rather than a library of set articulations.
