Scale matters
While the Kontakt instruments are fully chromatic, the expressive articulations depend on the scale - just like on the real whistles. This means that some slides are whole-tone and others are half-tone. Please note that slides and ornaments may not function correctly unless you play in the recommended key signatures.
Keyboard layout
Keyswitches Most articulations are assigned to keyswitches but some are triggered by velocity. Different velocity values trigger different variations. See details for each whistle below.
Natural vibrato is always present to some extent and isn't controlled via keyswitches - it's seamlessly woven into the performance, shaped organically by each whistle’s unique character.
Low whistle in D
