Hollobass

If McCartney played a synth rather than his Hofner bass, the Hollobass might be it. A flavorful, versatile and highly customizable synth-bass sound useful in all kinds of music.

It has two main sound-layers, which can be mixed to get the sound you want, with a selectable amount of detune. There is a choice of three different kinds of attack sound, either a synthetic "click", or one more like a picked bass guitar, and the level of the attack samples is controllable. There is also controllable sub-bass layer, which brings in an ultra-deep sinewave bass one octave below the main samples.

The Hollobass can be played polyphonically, or monophonically like synths of old, with a choice of polyphonic, or monophonic low-note priority (e.g., Minimoog), high-note priority (e.g., Korg MS20) modes, or a last/high note priority modes. The scripted LFO means that even in polyphonic mode, the LFO will stay in sync for all playing voices.

Both the MIDI modwheel (CC #1) and an on-screen control can control the amount of LFO.
