Product Overview

RP-86 is a Kontakt 5 Library inspired by Piano samples of The "Famous" 1986 Roland MKS-20 Module.

RP-86 has a different approach on recreating these vintage mid-80's "vintage" and lush synthetic piano tones.

Instead of using straight samples from the original module we selected 2 of its most recognizable piano tones and their multiple-velocity samples processed via additive resynthesis software.

After the necessary editing the "newly" resynthesized multisamples have been used to recreate the original tones on Kontakt 5.

Overview

MAIN PAGE

A sound program can be made up to 2 elements with some basic editing parameters.

There is a large blue "LCD Display", which is heavily inspired by the original MKS-20 module.

It looks pleasant and it adds a "vintage" look to the GUI, but it can also interact with the inner Kontakt synth engine.

Each of the 2 elements has 2 different multisampled sounds to select from.

The selection can be made directly on the "LCD" Display using the mouse "left-click" and the pop-up dropdown menu.

On the left there is located the filter section with Cutoff & velocity sensitivity.

Next are the Amp Release Envelope & velocity sensitivity.

On the right there is the LFO with Pitch and Amp. modulation amount as well as note transpose controls for each of the 2 elements.

Below are located the effects like chorus, delay, reverb and equalizer. Every effect has its own corresponding parameters as well as On/Off switch.
