As you know the SOUND DUST ethos is always to try and push things beyond the norm, Wurlitzer Toolkit takes a beloved instrument* and lovingly does new and loving things to it...not always that loving!

Yes, it's another electric piano, but this one is different (obvs), it sounds 'like' an electric piano, it carries the memory of electric piano-ness, but it also has its own unique sound that means it can function like an electric piano but without carrying the usual electric piano baggage.

At the rougher, more 'organic' end of the electric piano spectrum, a real fully working Wurlitzer is a rare and wonderful beast. This Wurlitzer 200 is particularly special, it belongs to ex Sheryl Crowe, Oasis and current Noel G keyboard player Mikey Rowe, and it can be heard on records by all of the above. It also has the rare tremolo speed mod, so it does things that most Wurlis can only dream of.

Wurlitzer Toolkit is recorded/misused in 4 different ways and then poured into 4 different instances of an expanded version of the DRIFT engine. ​It emanates beautiful organic textures and mellow cinematics with a subtle suggestion of a charming and melancholic nostalgia.
