It’s simply not possible to make SMT-100A sound bad. This classic and easy-to-master compressor unit has been designed to yield results quickly and effectively. Gentle and natural sounding when used to subtly enhance the sound but also able to warm it up in a very musical way when pushed harder, it’s a versatile plugin that will fit any modern-day workflow and scenario thanks to its combination of straightforward controls and big tube-compressor-style sound.

The hardware original that inspired us to create SMT-100A was first introduced in the 1980s but has remained a staple in studios all around the world because of its fast attack times and its ability to do a great job with vocals, drums, and bass. We worked hard to painstakingly preserve both the special sound of the SMT-100A and its simplistic design and control set.
