Completely adjustable preamp

Redoptor expands on classic tube guitar amplifier circuit design by offering total control of the preamp’s frequency range. The cut-off point for both high and low tones may be set before the signal is amplified and distorted, allowing for incredible versatility in sound shaping – from lo-fi to full-spectrum.

Dynamics under control

A built-in pre-gain compressor module and master output limiter provide even more freedom to sculpt the perfect saturated sound. These two elements are studio essentials for creative gain staging. The preliminary compressor adds punch and controls your signal’s dynamic range before it hits the highly responsive distortion stage. The master output limiter tames unruly peaks and polishes your signal as it leaves the plug-in.

Exact circuit emulation

In addition to its spot-on modeling of hot vacuum tubes being pushed into glorious, creamy distortion, Redoptor packs several features that allow it to accurately mimic the behavior of a complex analog circuit with all its interactive and complementary components.
Redoptor’s adjustable tube bias parameter creates subtle amplification of even harmonics and gentle transient reshaping in the signal. Every individual element of the plugin’s signal chain has similarly been designed to capture the subtleties and dynamics of proper high-quality analog tube distortion.

Independent stereo channel processing

Although based on the mono signal paths of vintage guitar amplifiers, Redoptor is a fully functioning stereo tube distortion with an independent path for each channel in the stereo signal. This allows each side to have completely different harmonics and distortion added to it. So, synth sounds, for example, can benefit from enhanced definition and stereo imaging in addition to the analog feel offered by the tube distortion emulation.

Parametric EQ

While many typical amplifiers and emulations rely on a fixed graphical equalizer offering limited control, Redoptor features a powerful parametric equalizer with independent gain and frequency control of 4 bands.
