Novagrid is a creative audio processor designed to inject instant rhythm, motion, and evolving textures into any sound source. Instead of generating audio, Novagrid takes an incoming signal and reshapes it through four independent effect lanes—Volume, Pan, Filter (14 types), and Bitcrusher—each powered by its own sequencer and control set.

At the core of Novagrid is a slider-based step sequencer per lane, letting you draw and sculpt patterns that modulate amplitude, stereo position, filter cutoff, or bit reduction over time. You can keep things tight and percussive with Gate and short divisions, smooth transitions for fluid motion, or experiment with direction modes (Forward, Ping-Pong, Reverse) for constantly shifting grooves.

Novagrid is built for experimentation without losing control. Each lane includes local dice randomization, and there’s also a Global Random engine you can configure by choosing exactly which parameters participate. Lock parameters (and even whole sequences) to preserve key settings while freely randomizing everything else.

For deeper sound design, Novagrid’s lanes can be linked so your manual edits mirror across lanes, while randomization still generates unique values per lane—ideal for cohesive yet varied multi-effect movement. And because the processing chain is reorderable via drag & drop, you can dramatically change the outcome by moving effects earlier or later in the chain.

Beyond modulation, Novagrid supports a polished workflow with preset management, an expansions panel for preset packs, and full theme customization via import/exportable looks shared across MNW plugins.
