You’ve heard the sounds of these drum machines and rhythm arrangers on countless records from the 70s and 80s up to current day. Iconic sounds that have graced many a hit song, in a wide variety of genres. The AP-707 is a drum “ROM” style player for the iconic drum rhythm machine released in 1984. While the sample library is based on a rhythm accompaniment device, it’s only the sounds in this Kontakt sample instrument. There is no attempt to mimic the functionality of the rhythm arranger, just to have the sounds available to program drum parts with via a simple, clean mixer scripted in Kontakt. The scripted GUI has a full mixer for dialing in the levels and pans, along with audio metering and signal present indicator on each channel. There is also a text display showing the current sound being played. The full version of Kontakt 6.8.0 or later is required for this sample instrument.
