DRONE sections add tuned drone sounds
PLATO is built around a network of subtle to dramatic interactions; sounds, frequencies, transients, levels and effects can all interact with each other in surprising ways. It is an instrument you try and steer. Fortunately the complex stuff is under the hood, you use the intuitive GUi to wrangle new ideas and bend new sounds without getting bogged down with details. Merge and melt the unexpected into ravishing new music with a daft grin on your face....
In the future , new PLATO experiments (let's call them refills) will occasionally pop up. They are refills because they use the PLATO engine and you need to own PLATO to get them, they will be low cost and involve new combinations of forgotten gems of the Sound Dust repertoire.
But before that, in the spirit of Platonic theory we start with the basics. The first PLATO refill is constructed from new recordings of single oscillator triangle, saw, fat square and thin square waveforms from my MOOG VOYAGER.
It comes as a free extra when you get PLATO - and future refills will only be available to owners of PLATO.
