Great selection of patches
Great work in sampling and compiling these patches, great for track starters, luscious pads and underscores.

Love at first patch
The first preset brought to mind a Hungarian composer and Madona's "Live To Tell." Hideaway Studio often uses a single-tab, 4-voice layering interface which quickly becomes familiar because it's straight-forward, easy to use, quick, and effective. The interfaces generally differ in graphics and vertical/horizontal layouts but the well-planned basic functionality, effects, and IRs are comfortably consistent between libraries, with minimal modifications between units (Chromatix has Velocity Level and ADSR). Multis don't appear to pose any CPU surprises with Hideaway synths (I've had as many as seven running simultaneously without issues). No sequencers/ARPS, "morphing" is via old-school DAW automation/MIDI-learn, and the seemingly-simple LFO (actually bipolar) and Tone controls deserve attention when reading the manual. The manual is well written: The technical aspects are clear and consistent, and the background and historical insights are a delight. The creation, quality and selection of samples/voices is the major difference between many Hideaway Studio libraries (Chromatix has 56 different voices---two pairs of 28 voices, paired to layers 1&3 and 2&4, for over 600000 voice combinations), and those aspects are very well done. The simplicity and streamlined features are double-edged swords, but I'm still giving this five stars because of the ease of use and quick, consistent, good results you get.

Excellent Carpenteresque Sounds
This is a great Kontact library and like the title says you can get some great John Carpenter style sounds out of it. It has some great presets and is easily tweakable to get the big synth sounds that you want.

Love the pads
Another excellent library. This one has an amazingly warm sound.

Great synth horns!
I love the warmth and fatness of the synth horn patches...really a lovely sound. Also, the interface is great. Everything is there in front of you and you have 4 oscillators to change sounds to your hearts content.

Hideaway Studio - Does It Again
Chromatix is pretty awesome sounding! Hideaway Studio puts their heart and soul into their Kontakt instruments. Get this and everything they make - you won't be disappointed!

Lots of analogue colours
This a based on the real synth Rhodes Chroma.
I don't know the original, but can judge on this sampled one and it's great. The sound palette is huge and more on the lush, softer side.
There are choirish sounds, arps and also such with shorter decays. Some recreate real instruments, some not - so there are beautiful spacy presets to find eg.
There are four layers, so you can combine sounds on your own.

Awesome Chroma Library!
Dan does it again! This is a great Chroma library with tons of character. There are many libraries that capture this synth. However, if you’re looking for one with true character, this takes the cake!
Probably not if your looking for a neutral capture of this synth, but then again who really wants something like that!
Definitely not me! Love how hideaway captures instruments in a way that builds further on their original character. Must buy!
