6 hours of residential ambiences
This collection comes with 5 additional ambiences that were recorded for Tim Nielsen’s ‘MY HOME’ EXTERIOR AMBIENCE Crowd Source for charity.
Hundreds of field recordists from around the world recorded thousands of exterior ambiences around their homes to contribute to a massive collection that is being sold, with the proceeds benefitting www.thewaterproject.org !
As of November 13th, 2020, this library is not yet available. I hope to update this information when that project is released. You will find these sounds in the folder “Soundopolis Suburban Ambiences BONUS.zip”.
Recording
Fienup used a variety of microphones and recorders including Sony PCM D50 and D100, as well as a RODE NT4 running into Sound Devices 702 and 633 recorders.
Editing
These files were edited over the years in a variety of software including Peak Pro, Pro Tools, and iZotope Rx.
Metadata was embedded using SoundMiner Plus.
This collection provides some new and interesting sounds, as well as a ton of variations so your soundtrack never gets old! All Soundopolis tracks include metadata tags so they are easy to find using any search engine. Collections come in easily downloadable zip files.
