Kontakt says there are missing files when I load a library. What should I do?
Firstly, don’t panic. Missing files is usually an easy problem to rectify. It usually occurs when the folder structure has been altered or samples moved from one location to another on your computer. Kontakt will give you the option of 'browsing' for the missing files. Click 'Browse for folder' and then locate the top level folder of the downloaded files or the samples folder if you have moved it to another location.
Once you have loaded the instrument you can resave it to prevent it from having to locate the files each time you load it.
There is also a function in Kontakt called 'Batch Resave'. This automatically scans folders and finds missing samples. More information about Batch Resave can be found here.Back to Support
