What is NKS?

NKS is an abbreviation for Native Kontrol Standard. NKS is an extended plugin format which allows intuitive and seamless interaction between plug-in instruments and Komplete Kontrol and Maschine hardware. If a Kontakt library is NKS-ready then you can operate the library using your hardware quickly and easily. Presets will be easily browsable using your hardware interface, the S-series keyboards will light up to correspond with the software and parameter values will appear on your hardware for easy and quick editing. 

When you are in the Kontakt section of loot Audio you can click the Version button to filter the products.

The first icon will display all products that are NKS compatible. The second icon will display products that will work with Kontakt Player and the third icon will show products that require the full version of Kontakt.
